Early career

In early childhood, Ideguchi started soccer with the influence of two older brothers who had already played soccer.

His childhood position was a striker, he was longing for Brazilian national footballer “Ronaldo” strongly. Therefore, Ideguchi watched Ronaldo ‘s play in the 2002 World Cup many times with video.

After having gone through several boys’ football club, Ideguchi joined the kids team of Avispa Fukuoka. His five older brother belonged to the junior team of Avispa Fukuoka, and at one time, they fought against the Konan-minami football club in Saitama Prefecture to which Genki Haraguchi belonged. Having learned the quality of the team, his mother joined Ideguchi to Gumba Osaka junior youth at the age of 15 to play football in a higher quality environment.

Club carrer

Although Ideguchi enrolled in the youth team, he was promoted to the top team on March 31, 2014. This is the fifth achievement in the history of clubs, it was the player since Takashi Usami. On April 16, 2014, he made his official game debut at the J.League Cup “Nabisco Cup” match against Sagan Tosu. 

On April 29, 2015, he made his debut in J. League against Matsumoto Yamaga Football Club, but after that he rarely entered the bench. However, at the end of the season he was playing in the game as a defensive person in the latter half of the game, and he increased the ability to take the ball away from his opponent.

In the 2016 season he became the regular player from the second half of the season and recorded his first goal in the game on September 17.

In this year he won a Rookie of the year at the J League awards because he was active in abundant momentum and overwhelming ability to capture the ball.

In January 2018, Ideguchi moved to Leeds United F.C. in England, who had been interested in him for a long time. However, since he has no work permit for the United Kingdom, he decided to play for half a year at Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa belonging to Spanish Segunda División.

International career

Ideguchi was elected as Japan representative of each age and was elected as the youngest player of the team to members under 23 in the 2016 AFC U – 23 Championship.

He was elected a Japan representative of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016, he made a start in the second game against Colombia and played in the middle of the game in the third game against Sweden.

On June 7, 2017, he played the debut in the middle of the game against the senior team Kirin Challenge Cup against Syria. On June 13, he was elected the starting member for the first time in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Third Round against Iran. He was elected as a starting member in the subsequent August 31 against Australia, he recorded the first scoring scorer for the senior team in the latter 37 minutes with a long-distance shot.

Summary

The new star that appeared like a comet to Japan national football team, Yosuke Ideguchi. If he keeps growing as it is, there is a high possibility of transferring to European clubs in the transfer market in the winter of 2018. Aside from that, Ideguchi is similar in face and hairstyle to  Hidetoshi Nakata who was a member of former Japan national football team.
